Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older who are willing and able to give their informed consent to participate
- People who have been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea, with a breathing interruption score of 5 or more events per hour
- People who are interested in surgical treatments for obstructive sleep apnea and have already agreed to a sleep endoscopy procedure (a camera examination done during light sedation) as part of their routine medical assessment
- People who have been reviewed and cleared by an anaesthesia team before the procedure
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have serious uncontrolled medical conditions, such as uncontrolled high blood pressure, unstable chest pain, poorly managed heart failure, or severe lung disease
- People who have a medical condition that would make it unsafe for them to receive anaesthesia or undergo surgery
- People who are unable to tolerate wearing a breathing mask device or cannot complete a breathing function test, for example due to severe claustrophobia
- People who have a condition that significantly limits their ability to take part in the study procedures
