Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are eligible in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) (confirm with trial site)
- People who are currently serving in the military (Active Duty) or veterans who left the military within the past 10 years
- People with significant post-traumatic stress symptoms, based on a score of 31 or higher on a standard PTSD checklist called the PCL-5
Who may not be able to join:

- People with a history of a psychotic disorder, bipolar disorder, or who are currently experiencing thoughts of harming themselves or others
- People with a history of multiple sclerosis, Huntington's disease, or Alzheimer's disease
- People with a history of stroke or heart attack

- People for whom MRI scans are not safe — for example, those who are pregnant, have metal implants or possible shrapnel in the body, have certain brain surgery clips, or have a pacemaker or similar implanted device
- People who are not able to give informed consent to participate
- People who have previously taken part in art therapy
- People with a currently active substance use disorder
