Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are over 18 years old
- Your heart's pumping function is measured at 40% or less (called an "ejection fraction"), confirmed by a heart scan within the past 2 months
- You have significant blockages in multiple heart arteries — specifically in three vessels, or in two vessels including a major one (confirm with trial site for exact details on how blockage is measured)

- You have a severe heart valve problem or another heart condition that requires surgery to repair
- You are already scheduled for another major surgery at the same time (some smaller procedures may still be allowed — confirm with trial site)
- You had a heart artery procedure (stent/angioplasty) within the past 12 months
- You have previously had open heart surgery
- You have a very high risk of serious bleeding that means you cannot safely take two blood-thinning medications together
- There are concerns that you may have difficulty following the treatment plan
- You have a serious illness affecting another major organ (such as kidney failure requiring dialysis, liver failure, lung failure, or cancer) that is expected to reduce your life expectancy to less than 5 years
- You are currently pregnant
- Your medical team does not consider you suitable for either type of heart procedure being studied in this trial (confirm with trial site)
- Your reduced heart function is caused by a temporary stress-related condition sometimes called "Broken Heart Syndrome"
