Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are willing and able to give written consent before the surgical procedure begins, with the understanding that leaving the study at any time is allowed
- People aged 18 or older
- People whose general health and ability to carry out daily activities falls within a certain range, as measured by the WHO performance scale (scores 0–2) (confirm with trial site)

Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had or currently have a separate, additional cancer (other than the one that caused the liver involvement), with exceptions for certain low-risk conditions such as cervical carcinoma in situ, treated basal cell skin cancer, or early-stage superficial bladder tumours
- People whose additional cancer was fully treated more than 3 years before joining the trial may still be considered eligible (confirm with trial site)
- People whose overall physical health before surgery is rated as ASA score 4, indicating very severe systemic illness (confirm with trial site)
- People who have cancer spread outside the liver that cannot be surgically removed
- People who have liver metastases that originated from a cancer other than colorectal cancer
- People who have a non-cancerous (benign) primary tumour of the liver
- People who are pregnant
- People who are currently participating in another clinical trial
