- People with nerve damage affecting multiple nerves throughout the body

- People who currently have, or have had within the last two years, problems with alcohol use
- People who have been diagnosed with certain serious mental health conditions or addiction to illegal drugs
- People whose life expectancy is less than one year due to their illness or other health conditions, including those with the most severe level of heart failure (NYHA Class IV)
- People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
- People who could become pregnant during the study and have not undergone a reliable and permanent form of contraception (confirm with trial site)
- People who were previously enrolled in this same study and withdrew
