Who might be able to join this trial:
- You identify as a cisgender woman (someone who was assigned female at birth and identifies as a woman)
- You identify as Black or African American
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You are living with HIV
- In the past 12 months, you have attended 1 or fewer HIV care appointments, OR your HIV viral load is not currently suppressed (above 50 copies/mL), OR you are considered at higher risk for having difficulty keeping up with HIV care due to depression symptoms, anxiety symptoms, or active substance use (confirm with trial site)
- You have experienced intimate partner violence (IPV) — meaning abuse from a romantic or sexual partner — within the past 2 years
- You are able to attend up to 8 in-person sessions
- You do not feel you are in immediate, serious danger from your partner right now
- You are fluent in English
Who may not be able to join:
- You do not identify as a cisgender woman
- You do not identify as Black or African American
- You are 17 years old or younger
- You are not living with HIV
- You have attended 2 or more HIV care appointments in the past 12 months
- You have not experienced intimate partner violence in the past 2 years
- You are unable to attend up to 8 in-person sessions
- You feel you are in immediate, serious danger from your partner right now
- You are not fluent in English
