Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People aged 18 or older
  • People who have been diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (a condition where the heart muscle is thickened), confirmed by an imaging test such as an echocardiogram, MRI, or CT scan, meeting specific thickness measurements based on genetic testing results (confirm with trial site)

  • People whose heart pumping function is significantly reduced (ejection fraction of 40% or less)
  • People who have blood clots in the left side of the heart
  • People who also have a heart artery or heart valve problem that requires a procedure or surgery
  • People who have had a stroke caused by reduced blood flow within the past 2 months
  • People who have previously had a cardiac ablation procedure
  • People with an overactive or underactive thyroid that is not currently controlled
  • People with end-stage kidney failure
  • People who are already participating in another clinical trial
  • People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or of childbearing age and not using a reliable form of contraception
  • People who currently have a blood infection or an active infection
  • People whose chest anatomy makes thoracoscopic (keyhole chest) surgery unsuitable, such as those with a history of chest surgery or radiation therapy to the chest
  • People who are unwilling or unable to attend all required appointments and follow-up visits related to the trial
