Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are willing and able to sign and date a consent form agreeing to take part
- People who are willing to follow all study procedures and lifestyle requirements, and who are available for the full duration of the study
- Males and females between 18 and 75 years of age
- People with a confirmed, long-term HIV-1 infection, verified through standard HIV testing methods
- People who are currently receiving a treatment that has the potential to contribute to an HIV cure
- People who are willing and able to undergo a colonoscopy procedure twice during the study period

- People with a known blood clotting disorder or abnormal results on clotting tests
- People who are pregnant or who plan to become pregnant during the study period
- People who have an existing bowel condition such as Inflammatory Bowel Disease, ongoing diarrhoeal illness, or any other gut condition that could affect the lining of the intestine
- People who currently have a sexually transmitted infection
- People who have any other condition that the study doctors believe could affect their ability to safely participate in or complete the study (confirm with trial site)
