Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 21 and 99 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with a type of liver cancer called hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), either confirmed by a tissue sample or by specialised medical scans following established guidelines
- People who have not yet received any local treatment directed at the liver cancer (such as ablation, embolisation, or radiation to the liver)
- People whose kidneys are working at a sufficient level, based on a standard calculation using blood test results
- People who are able to understand and sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the trial
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a known allergy to the contrast agent called 68Ga-FAPI, which is used in the imaging scan for this trial
- People for whom an MRI scan is not safe, including those with certain metal implants in their body, a heart pacemaker, or severe claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces)
- People who weigh more than 150 kilograms
- People who have another active cancer in addition to their liver cancer
- People who have had liver surgery within the last 30 days
- People who have active inflammatory conditions that the trial doctor believes could interfere with the imaging results — this includes conditions such as active infection, IgG4-related disease, or inflammatory bowel disease, among others
- People who are pregnant (women of childbearing age will be asked to take a urine pregnancy test before joining)
