  • You have an infection in or near the ankle, or an infection elsewhere in the body that could spread to the ankle

  • You have joints affected by nerve damage (confirm with trial site)
  • You have a nerve or muscle condition that affects how you move, walk, or bear weight on your lower limb
  • You have poor skin or tissue condition around the ankle area
  • You have Charcot arthropathy (a condition causing joint damage due to nerve problems)
  • You have previously had ankle fusion surgery where parts of the ankle bones were removed
  • You place very high physical demands on your joints through activity or body weight, as decided by the study doctor
  • You are under 21 years old at the time of surgery
  • You have dementia
  • You have a known allergy to metal
  • You are unwilling to sign a consent form to take part in the study
  • You are unlikely to be available for follow-up appointments over the full 10 years
  • Your doctor does not consider you a suitable candidate for this device
  • You are currently pregnant
