Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma (a type of liver cancer) confirmed by a tissue biopsy or lab examination
• People whose liver cancer is classified as an early-to-intermediate stage under China's national liver cancer staging guidelines (CNLC stages Ia, Ib, or IIa)
• People who have undergone surgery intended to fully remove their liver cancer (called radical resection)
• People whose cancer, after surgery, shows at least one of the following features: the tumour was 5 cm or larger; there was evidence of cancer cells in small blood vessels (microvascular invasion); there were satellite or secondary tumour spots nearby; there were two or more tumours; a blood protein called AFP was above a certain level; or the cancer had grown into the outer lining of the liver
• People who are in good general health or have only minor limitations in daily activity (ECOG score of 0 or 1) and whose liver function meets specific score criteria (Child-Pugh A or B with a score of 7 or below)
• People whose blood counts, heart function, kidney function, liver enzyme levels, and blood oxygen levels all fall within the ranges required by the trial
• People whose life expectancy is estimated to be more than 6 months
• Men or women of reproductive age who agree to use reliable contraception throughout the trial and for 3 months after treatment ends

Who may not be able to join:

• Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
• People who have received certain cancer treatments recently, including chemotherapy within the past 3 months, targeted therapy drugs within the past 2 months, interferon or interleukin-2 within the past 3 months, or white blood cell–boosting drugs within the past 2 weeks
• People who have previously received drugs that target immune checkpoint pathways (a type of cancer immunotherapy)
• People who have used certain immune-suppressing medications (such as azathioprine, cyclosporine, or similar drugs), or who have taken corticosteroids on a long-term basis
• People who have had a blood clot in a vein or artery in the past 3 months, or who are considered at high risk of a blood clot in the lungs
• People who have previously received certain types of cell-based immunotherapy treatments (such as DC-CIK, CIK, RAK, or LAK cell therapies)
• People who have had another type of cancer in the past 5 years (exceptions may apply for certain cured skin cancers or early cervical conditions — confirm with trial site)
• People with uncontrolled epilepsy, nervous system conditions, stroke history, other uncontrolled medical conditions, or a history of mental health disorders
• People with significant heart failure or serious heart rhythm problems requiring medication
• People with moderate or severe interstitial lung disease (a type of lung condition — confirm with trial site)
• People who currently have a fever or active infection
• People with autoimmune diseases, including uncontrolled thyroid conditions
• People who test positive for HIV/AIDS or syphilis
• People who are allergic to interferon or interleukin-2 preparations
• People who are currently participating in another clinical trial or who enrolled in another trial within the 4 weeks before joining this one
• People who, in the opinion of the trial investigators, may not be able to follow the trial requirements or are otherwise considered unsuitable for participation
