Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older, of any race or sex, whose colorectal cancer has spread to the liver, confirmed by biopsy or imaging
- People whose cancer has continued to grow or spread after trying two different standard chemotherapy treatments
- People who have at least one liver tumour measuring more than 1 cm
- People whose cancer is mostly in the liver, meaning at least 80% of the tumour burden is located there
- People whose liver tumours take up less than 60% of the total liver
- People who are generally able to carry out daily activities with little or no restriction (confirm with trial site regarding exact fitness score required)
- People whose liver is functioning at a certain level, assessed by a scoring system called Child-Pugh grade A or B (confirm with trial site)
- People whose life expectancy is estimated to be more than 3 months
- People whose blood counts and kidney and liver function fall within acceptable ranges on blood tests
- Women who are not pregnant, with a negative pregnancy blood test, and who are using acceptable contraception if able to become pregnant
- Men who are fertile and using effective contraception
- People who are willing and able to provide signed written consent to participate
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously been treated with TACE (a liver-directed procedure), or the medications regorafenib or fruquintinib
- People whose cancer has spread to the brain
- People with serious conditions affecting the heart, kidneys, bone marrow, lungs, or nervous system
- People who have or have had another type of cancer
- People with a serious illness or certain chronic conditions such as tuberculosis (TB) or HIV/AIDS
- People with a known or suspected allergy to any of the medications used in this trial
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People with serious physical or mental health conditions that could interfere with taking part in the study
