Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are at least 19 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with stage C heart failure and a weakened heart pump (where the heart is pumping less than 40% of its normal capacity)
- People who have significant blockages in the arteries supplying the heart, confirmed by a specialist test showing the heart muscle is not getting enough blood flow
- People whose heart artery blockages are suitable to be treated with a procedure that opens blocked arteries from inside the blood vessel (a procedure done without open-heart surgery)
- People who are able to confirm they understand the risks, benefits, and alternatives involved, and who (or whose legal representative) sign a written consent form before any study procedures begin
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had a heart attack within the 4 weeks before entering the trial
- People whose heart muscle tests show areas of the heart that are no longer living or functioning tissue
- People whose artery blockages are judged by the treating doctors to be unsuitable for the artery-opening procedure
- People who need a mechanical heart pump device or a heart transplant at the time of joining the trial
- People who have an intolerance to any of the following medications: Aspirin, Clopidogrel, Prasugrel, Ticagrelor, Heparin, or Everolimus
- People who have had a severe life-threatening allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock) to the dye used in medical imaging scans
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who have other serious non-heart-related health conditions that mean their life expectancy is less than 2 years, or that may make it difficult to follow the trial's requirements (as judged by the trial doctor)
- People who are unwilling or unable to follow the procedures required by the trial
