Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older at the time of your first screening visit
- You have had symptoms of gastroparesis (delayed stomach emptying) and/or functional dyspepsia (stomach discomfort without a clear cause) for at least 12 weeks, which may include nausea, vomiting, feeling full quickly, feeling full after eating, stomach pain, or stomach burning
- You have had a specific stomach-emptying scan (using an egg-based meal, or a similar alternative) completed within the last 9 months
- You have had a camera exam of your upper digestive tract (like an endoscopy) or an imaging scan of your upper digestive system within the last 5 years, with normal or non-concerning results
Who may not be able to join:
- You use strong prescription pain medications (opioids/narcotics) more than three days per week
- You have a blockage in your stomach or intestines confirmed by medical testing
- You have active inflammatory bowel disease (such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis)
- You have been diagnosed with a condition involving excess immune cells (eosinophils) affecting your stomach, intestines, or esophagus
- You have a neurological condition affecting your brain or nervous system that could cause nausea or vomiting (confirm with trial site)
- You have serious kidney problems, including kidney failure or being on dialysis
- You have serious liver disease or acute liver failure (confirm with trial site)
- You have a known pancreas disorder confirmed by imaging or testing
- You have previously had surgery on your stomach or esophagus, including gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, stomach removal (partial or full), or other related procedures
- You have any other condition that, in the doctor's opinion, could explain your symptoms or make it difficult to participate
- You are currently pregnant (a pregnancy test will be done before the stomach-emptying scan)
- You are unable to complete the stomach-emptying scan for any reason, including an allergy to eggs
- You are unable or unwilling to give informed consent to participate

Measure of symptom severity of gastroparesis and functional dyspepsia using the change in total score from the Patient Assessment of Upper Gastrointestinal Disorders Symptoms (PAGI SYM) from baseline to 48 weeks.
