Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have had abnormal heart rhythms or unusual heart electrical patterns (such as fast heartbeats, irregular rhythms, or the heart stopping) that were recorded on a short-term heart monitor (ECG) with at least one recording channel.
  • People who have a suspected or confirmed heart condition, which may include heart failure, a history of abnormal heart rhythms, possible blocked heart arteries, heart muscle disease, a pacemaker or implanted heart device (or who may need one soon), unstable heart conditions, a heart attack, heart-related cancer treatment, a life expectancy of less than 24 months, pregnancy, or who have survived a cardiac arrest where a specific dangerous rhythm was the first recorded rhythm.
  • People whose ECG recording can be exported as raw data (the original unprocessed signal file).
  • People who have signed a consent form agreeing to take part. If a person is unable to sign for themselves, an authorised family member or relative may be able to sign on their behalf.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who are unwilling or unable to sign the written consent form for the study.
  • People whose ECG recording is unavailable or is of too poor a quality to be used.
