Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia according to the 2016 ACR (American College of Rheumatology) criteria
- People whose fibromyalgia symptoms fall within a specific range on a standard questionnaire called the FIQR (a score between 35 and 80 at the start of the study)
- People who are willing to keep their current pain treatments the same throughout the study
- People who own a smartphone running iOS 12 or higher, or Android OS 8 or higher

Who may not be able to join:
- People whose medical records show signs of cognitive impairment (problems with memory or thinking)
- People who have been diagnosed with a serious medical or mental health condition, such as cancer, a psychotic disorder, or drug abuse, according to their medical records
- People who are considered to be at risk of suicide
- People who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant during the study, or currently breastfeeding
- People who have taken part in another clinical trial in the past 12 months, or who are currently in one
- People who are unable to use a smartphone
For a smaller part of the study involving blood or biological samples (confirm with trial site), additional criteria may apply. People may not be eligible for this part if they:
- Are male
- Have a rheumatological condition such as lupus, or severe organ problems
- Have had a fever above 38°C or an infection in the past 2 weeks
- Have received a vaccination in the past 4 weeks
- Have had a recent physical injury
- Have a fear of needles
- Consume more than 8 units of caffeine per day
- Smoke more than 5 cigarettes per day
- Are currently using steroid medications taken by mouth or applied to the skin
- Are currently using biologic medications that target the immune system (anti-cytokine biologics)
- Are currently using oral contraceptives (the contraceptive pill)
