Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults between 18 and 65 years old, of any gender
- People confirmed to have HIV-1 infection, diagnosed according to Chinese national health standards
- People who have tested positive for a hepatitis B surface protein (HBsAg) for more than 6 months, indicating a long-term hepatitis B infection
- People who have been on HIV treatment (antiretroviral therapy) for at least 1 year before screening and are currently still on that treatment, with hepatitis B and HIV levels well controlled and immune cell counts within a certain range (confirm specific lab values with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, planning to become pregnant, or who have severe mental health conditions or epilepsy that is not well controlled
- People who also have hepatitis A, C, D, or E virus infections
- People with other chronic liver conditions, such as autoimmune hepatitis, liver disease caused by alcohol or medications, inherited liver disorders, or moderate to severe fatty liver disease
- People with autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, or lupus
- People who have had an organ transplant, are planning one, have been diagnosed with or are suspected of having liver cancer or another cancer, or are currently on medication that suppresses the immune system
- People with serious conditions affecting the heart, lungs, kidneys, or brain, eye (retinal) disorders, or high blood pressure or diabetes that is not well controlled
- People who drink alcohol heavily (on average more than 40g per day for men or more than 20g per day for women) or who use illicit drugs
- People who have taken part in another interventional clinical trial within the past three months, or anyone the research team considers unsuitable for other reasons
