Who may not be able to join
Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.
- People whose Alzheimer's disease or mild cognitive impairment is linked to a known genetic mutation.
- People who have major depression.
- People with a history of a brain tumour (primary or that has spread from elsewhere), significant head injury, bleeding within the brain, or a stroke affecting a large part of the brain.
- People for whom MRI scanning is not safe, including those with a cardiac pacemaker, metal in or around the eye or brain, or other devices that are not compatible with MRI machines.
- Women who are pregnant, or women who could become pregnant and receive a positive urine pregnancy test before the MRI scan, will not be included in the study.
