  • People who travel frequently and experience regular jet lag
  • People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a history of irregular menstrual cycles
  • People who have a diagnosed sleep disorder such as insomnia or sleep apnea (a condition where breathing stops briefly during sleep)
  • People who experience significant daytime sleepiness
  • People whose body weight has changed by 5% or more in the past 3 months
  • People with uncontrolled depression or anxiety, or a history of psychosis or bipolar disorder
  • People with a high score on a standard depression questionnaire, or who have reported any thoughts of self-harm on that questionnaire
  • People taking a medication or having a condition that, in the opinion of the medical team, could affect the study results or put them at risk
  • People who have donated blood or plasma in the past 2 months
