Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have a moderate blockage in a coronary artery (estimated at 50–90% narrowing) and whose doctor has decided that a procedure guided by a specific heart pressure measurement (called RFR) is clinically needed
- People who have chosen to take part in the study on their own free will and have signed a consent form
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose heart's pumping function is severely reduced (the heart pumps less than 30% of its normal capacity)
- People who are in cardiogenic shock (when the heart suddenly cannot pump enough blood to meet the body's needs)
- People where the artery being studied is the one directly responsible for a recent heart attack
- People where the artery being studied is the only blood supply to another completely blocked artery
- People who have significant heart valve disease or a disease affecting the heart muscle
- People whose heart rate or blood pressure is dangerously low at the time of the procedure (heart rate below 50 beats per minute or blood pressure below 90mmHg)
- People who have previously had bypass surgery (CABG) where the bypass graft to the artery being studied is still working
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who have other serious non-heart-related health conditions that mean their life expectancy is less than one year, or that may make it difficult to follow the study's requirements
