Who might be able to join this trial:
For people living with dementia:
- People aged 60 or older
- People who have been diagnosed with dementia by a doctor, or who report memory problems and score above a certain level on a standard memory assessment tool
- People who score above 10 on a standard questionnaire that measures how severely sleep problems affect daily life
- People who have been on a consistent, unchanged dose of medications that affect mood, behaviour, or sleep
- People who are willing to wear a small wrist device that tracks sleep and movement throughout the study
For informal caregivers:
- People aged 18 or older
- People who provide at least 4 hours of care per day to a person living with dementia
- People who live in the same home as the person they care for
- People who can read and communicate in English
Who may not be able to join:
For people living with dementia:
- People who have significant hearing difficulties
- People who are planning to move into a residential care facility or nursing home within the next 3 months
- People who have movement-related symptoms affecting muscle control, or who are experiencing sudden or severe sleep disturbances (confirm with trial site)
- People who are unable to get out of bed independently
- People who are currently living in a setting such as an assisted living community
