Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with an abnormal origin of a coronary artery from the opposite side of the heart (known as AAOCA), whether they have been referred for surgery or are being monitored without surgery.
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose coronary artery connects to the aorta at an unusually high position (5mm or more above a specific landmark called the sino-tubular junction).
- People whose circumflex coronary artery (a branch of the heart's blood supply) originates from the right coronary artery.
- People who have an abnormal path of a coronary artery but where the starting point of the artery is in the normal position.
- People who have a major heart condition present from birth alongside their coronary artery abnormality, such as Tetralogy of Fallot, transposition of the great arteries, or a coronary artery that originates from the pulmonary artery instead of the aorta.
