Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who are over 60 years of age
• People who have been diagnosed with mild dementia or mild cognitive impairment at a participating memory evaluation centre
• People who have mild to moderate hearing loss in both ears and are not currently using hearing aids
• People who have a family member, friend, or carer who is willing and able to take part in the study alongside them
• People whose vision is not severely impaired in a way that would prevent them from completing study tasks (for example, people who are not legally blind and do not have severe cataracts or macular degeneration)

• People who have a serious, unstable, or worsening medical condition that the trial investigators consider would put them at unacceptable risk by participating
• People who have ongoing communication difficulties as a result of another neurological condition such as a stroke or brain tumour, a neurodevelopmental condition such as Down's syndrome, or head or neck cancer
• People who have a history of a major psychiatric condition such as schizophrenia, or significant depression that has not been treated
• People who are already taking part in another study that focuses on hearing, language, or communication
• People who have a history of, or currently experience, hearing loss that fluctuates or changes over time
