Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are at least 18 years old
- People who live in one of the 50 specific areas identified by the Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) initiative, or in one of the 17 areas with the highest rates of HIV diagnoses among Latinx communities
- People who identify as Latinx, Hispanic, or Afro-Latinx, or whose main partner identifies this way
- People who have a main or primary male partner — meaning a man they have been in an ongoing sexual relationship with for at least 3 months
- At least one person in the couple must report having had three or more instances of anal sex without a condom (with any partner) during a relevant period
- People who can speak English and/or Spanish
Who may not be able to join:
- Couples where either partner reports serious intimate partner violence (physical or other harm within the relationship) in the past year, as measured by a specific screening tool — those couples will be referred to domestic abuse support services instead
- Either partner has a language or thinking/understanding difficulty that would prevent them from giving informed consent to participate
- Adults who are not able to give informed consent for any reason
- Women who are currently pregnant
- People who are currently in prison or detained
- Anyone under 18 years of age
