Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- You have a heart condition caused by reduced blood flow to the heart muscle (known as ischemic cardiomyopathy).
- You have had a documented episode of a specific type of fast, abnormal heart rhythm (called sustained monomorphic ventricular tachycardia) that is linked to scar tissue in the heart, confirmed by an ECG or a heart device such as a pacemaker or defibrillator.
Who may not be able to join:
- Your main heart rhythm problem is a different type of abnormal heartbeat, such as premature ventricular contractions (PVCs), a fast rhythm starting in the upper chambers of the heart, or a chaotic heart rhythm called ventricular fibrillation.
- You have had a heart attack or heart surgery within the last 6 months.
- You have a severe leaking of one of your heart valves (the mitral valve).
- You have had a stroke or a mini-stroke (TIA) within the last 6 months.
- You have already had a procedure to treat this type of heart rhythm problem (VT substrate ablation) within the last 6 months.
- Your heart failure symptoms are at the most severe level, meaning you experience symptoms even at rest (confirm with trial site).
- Your abnormal heart rhythm is caused by something other than scarring from reduced blood flow to the heart.
