Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who are 18 years of age or older at the time of signing the consent form
• People who have a confirmed diagnosis of locally advanced intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (a type of bile duct cancer that starts inside the liver), based on tissue testing
• People whose cancer has not spread to blood vessels, lymph nodes, or areas outside the liver
• People whose cancer cannot be surgically removed due to where it is located in the liver, or due to underlying liver disease
• People whose cancer has been stable or has shrunk for at least 6 months while on treatment given before a potential transplant; if a second treatment was tried, the cancer must also have been controlled for at least 6 months on that treatment
• People who had previous surgery to remove this type of bile duct cancer may be considered, as long as the surgery was more than 6 months before being listed for the trial and their cancer has been stable or responding to treatment for at least 6 months
• People who are generally well enough to function with minimal limitations in daily activity (confirm with trial site for exact fitness level required)
• People whose organ and blood function meets the standards required for a liver transplant at the treating hospital
• People with a history of hepatitis B who have an undetectable level of the virus while on suppressive treatment
• People with a history of hepatitis C who have an undetectable level of the virus
• Women who could become pregnant must have a contraception plan in place from the time of joining the study until at least one year after a liver transplant
• People who are willing and able to understand and sign a written consent form
• People who meet all other medical and psychological requirements for a liver transplant at the treating hospital
• People who are able to follow the study procedures as required

Who may not be able to join:

• People under 18 years of age at the time of signing the consent form
• People whose cancer has spread outside the liver, to lymph nodes, or into major blood vessels of the liver, or who have other complex features of advanced disease (confirm with trial site for full details)
• People with serious or uncontrolled illnesses, such as active infection, sudden liver failure, severe heart or lung conditions, severe stroke-related disease, or mental health or social circumstances that would prevent safe participation or eligibility for a liver transplant
• People who have previously received a solid organ transplant or a bone marrow transplant
• People who require two or more intravenous medications to keep their heart and circulation stable
• People who have had another cancer in the past 5 years or currently have another cancer, with the exception of certain skin cancers or very early-stage cancers that have not spread (confirm with trial site for exact details)
• People whose general health and activity level falls below the minimum required threshold (confirm with trial site for exact fitness level required)
• People who are unable to understand or sign a written consent form
• People with hepatitis B or C that has not been treated
• People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
