Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes
- People who have chronic kidney disease at a moderate stage, meaning their kidneys are working at a reduced but not severely low level (confirmed by a specific kidney function measurement called eGFR, falling between 25 and 90), along with a urine test result below a certain threshold for protein leakage

- People who have a medical reason they cannot take any ingredient in the study medication combination (confirm with trial site)
- People who are pregnant
- People whose blood creatinine level (a measure of kidney waste) is above a certain level — over 2.0 mg/dL for men or over 1.8 mg/dL for women
- People for whom the WATCH-DM risk score cannot be calculated
- People who are unable to undergo exercise testing
