Who might be able to join this trial:

For young people:

  • You are willing to take part and have permission from a parent or guardian
  • You are between 12 and 18 years old
  • You are currently a patient at Kids Plus Pediatrics
  • You are currently experiencing depression
  • You sleep less than 7 hours on school nights, and/or you sleep and wake more than 2 hours later on weekends compared to weekdays

For parents/guardians:

  • You are 18 years old or older and are the parent or guardian of a young person joining the trial
  • You spend at least 10 hours per week in person with the young person

Who may not be able to join:

For young people:

  • You have a serious or unstable physical health condition
  • You have been diagnosed with sleep apnea, narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome, nightmare disorder, or periodic limb movement disorder
  • You have been diagnosed with PTSD, bipolar disorder, a psychotic disorder, or a substance use disorder
  • You are currently receiving therapy focused on improving sleep (such as CBT for sleep)
  • Your medications have changed in the month before screening
  • You are currently experiencing thoughts of suicide that need immediate treatment
  • You are unable or unwilling to follow the study's procedures
  • You have any physical or mental health condition that would prevent you from taking part (confirm with trial site)

For parents/guardians:

  • You are currently experiencing thoughts of suicide that need immediate treatment
  • You have any physical or mental condition that would prevent you from taking part (confirm with trial site)
  • You are unable or unwilling to follow the study's procedures
