Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 20 years of age or older
- People who have end-stage kidney disease and have been on regular, ongoing dialysis with a stable fluid removal target (dry weight) for the past 6 months
- People who have previously been diagnosed with a specific type of heart failure called HFpEF, confirmed by a scoring system called the HFA-PEFF diagnostic algorithm (a score of 5 or higher)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are under 20 years of age
- People who are currently pregnant
- People with the most severe stage of heart failure symptoms (known as NYHA Class IV)
- People who have been hospitalised for heart failure in the past month
- People who currently have an active urinary tract infection at the time of assessment
- People who currently have a known active genital infection
- People with severe circulation problems in the legs and feet (a condition rated at a serious level called Rutherford category 4–6)
- People who have had a heart attack, stroke, or mini-stroke (TIA) within the past month
- People who only recently started regular dialysis within the last 6 months
- People whose target fluid removal weight has changed by more than 5% of their body weight in the past month
- People whose heart pumping strength (left ventricular ejection fraction) was recorded at 40% or below on a scan taken within the past month
- People who have not agreed to give informed consent to participate
