Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 18 and 65 years old
- People who have given signed consent to take part in the study
- People who are covered by a social security or health insurance scheme
- People joining the insomnia group must have a known diagnosis of insomnia and be receiving treatment for it
- People joining the insomnia group must score between 15 and 28 on a standard insomnia questionnaire (called the ISI), which indicates clinical insomnia

- People with a known psychiatric condition, such as depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, OCD, eating disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions (such as autism or ADHD), or active addiction issues (not including tobacco)
- People currently taking antidepressants, antipsychotics, or mood-stabilising medications
- People currently taking a long-acting benzodiazepine (a type of sedative or anxiety medication that stays in the body for more than 12 hours)
- People who needed to be hospitalised in the month before the study
- People with a known ongoing or permanent neurological condition
- People with a known significant eye condition
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who are currently detained or under a court or administrative order restricting their freedom
- People who are under a legal protection measure (confirm with trial site)
- People receiving psychiatric care without their own consent
- People joining the control group who have a known history of insomnia
- People in whom a psychiatric disorder is identified during the psychiatric interview that is part of the study process
