- People whose cancer has been tested and confirmed as HER2-negative (a specific result on two types of laboratory tests)
- People whose cancer has tested positive for HRD (a marker of DNA repair problems in the tumour, either through a BRCA1/2 gene mutation or a high HRD score)

- People who have received no more than two chemotherapy or similar drug regimens for their metastatic breast cancer
- People whose most recent anti-cancer treatment (6 to 8 cycles) showed clinical benefit — meaning the cancer shrank, disappeared, or stayed stable for at least 24 weeks
- People with a general physical fitness score of 2 or lower on a standard medical scale, and an expected survival of at least 3 months
- People with at least one measurable area of cancer visible on imaging within the 2 weeks before joining, or bone-only spread
