Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 75 years old
- You have not previously received any local or systemic treatment for liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma)
- Your liver function is within an acceptable range, based on a scoring system called Child-Pugh (score of 7 or below)
- You are able to carry out normal daily activities or light work, with little or no symptoms affecting your daily life (confirm with trial site)
- You do not have serious diseases affecting your heart, lungs, brain, or kidneys
- Your cancer has been confirmed by a tissue sample (biopsy) to be hepatocellular carcinoma (a specific type of liver cancer)
- A specific laboratory test on your tissue sample has confirmed the presence of a particular pattern in the blood vessels of the tumour, known as a VETC vascular pattern (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- Women who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
- People who have a condition that may affect how the body absorbs or processes the study drug, such as severe vomiting, long-term diarrhoea, a bowel blockage, or problems absorbing nutrients
- People who have had bleeding in their stomach or gut in the past 4 weeks, or who are considered at high risk of gut bleeding (for example, due to ulcers, certain test results, or enlarged veins in the food pipe or stomach)
- People who currently have an active infection
- People who have other significant health or laboratory test abnormalities that could affect safety (confirm with trial site)
- People who are unable to follow the treatment schedule and required check-up visits as set out in the trial plan
