Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 55 years old
- You are female
- You have been diagnosed with primary fibromyalgia based on the 2016 American College of Rheumatology guidelines
- You have a moderate-to-high level of pain, scoring 45 or above on a standard 100-point pain scale
- You have not taken certain medications — including muscle relaxants, antidepressants, anti-seizure drugs, steroids, benzodiazepines (such as sedatives), or tramadol — in the past year
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with a rheumatic, cancer-related, metabolic, blood, or neurological condition
- You have a bleeding disorder or take blood-thinning medications
- You have taken muscle relaxants, antidepressants, anti-seizure drugs, steroids, benzodiazepines, or tramadol in the past year, or are currently taking any of them
- Your body mass index (BMI) is 18 or below, or 35 or above (confirm with trial site if unsure of your BMI)
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have been diagnosed with severe anemia (very low red blood cell levels)
