Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who completed one of the following specific earlier studies — GS-US-292-0106, GS-US-380-1474, GS-US-311-1269, or GS-US-216-0128 — and agreed to take part in this follow-on study.
Who may not be able to join:
- People switching to the study medication (B/F/TAF) on the first day of the trial who had a detectable level of HIV in their blood (50 copies/mL or more) at their last visit in the earlier study.
- People switching to the study medication after the first day who had a detectable level of HIV in their blood at that time (confirm with trial site for exact threshold used).
- People switching to the study medication who have an ongoing serious (Grade 3 or 4) side effect or abnormal lab result that is related to any ingredient in the study medication.
- People who previously had to stop taking any ingredient of the study medication because it caused harmful effects or could not be tolerated — this applies to those already on the study medication or planning to switch to it.
- People planning to switch to the study medication who are known to have had a severe allergic reaction to any ingredient in the study medication or its components.
- People who are currently taking, or have previously taken, any medications that are not permitted under this trial's rules.
