Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years of age or older at the time of signing up for the trial
- You developed hearing loss after you had already learned to speak, and you have moderate to severe or profound hearing loss in both ears that affects certain sound frequencies in a specific pattern (confirm with trial site)

- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have moderate or severe liver disease, as measured by a standard medical scoring system
- You have no measurable hearing response at three or more consecutive high-pitched sound frequencies in the ear being implanted
- You have no movement in your middle ear, or your middle ear pressure is outside the normal range, based on an ear pressure test
