Who may be able to join
For people with a history of depression:
- People aged 18 to 27 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder at some point in their life
- People whose depression has been in full remission (no significant symptoms) for at least eight weeks, confirmed by a low score on a standard depression rating scale
For healthy volunteer participants:
- People aged 18 to 27 years old
- People who have never been diagnosed with any psychiatric disorder
- People who do not have a parent, sibling, or child with a mood disorder
Who may not be able to join
Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.
- People who have changed their psychiatric medications in the last 30 days
- People diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder
- People currently experiencing an eating disorder
- People with an intellectual disability
- People who have had a substance use disorder within the past six months
- People who are unable to undergo MRI or ECG scans for reasons such as having metal implants in the body, claustrophobia, having a cardiac device, or being pregnant
