Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been examined at the University Hospital of Northern Norway (UNN) and have been given a diagnosis of long-term, non-cancer-related pain according to standard international diagnosis codes (ICD-10)
- People who also have ongoing sleep problems (insomnia) alongside their pain condition
- Both people being referred to UNN for the first time and those who have been referred there before
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a diagnosed drug or substance abuse condition according to ICD-10 codes
- People who have an active compensation or insurance claim related to a health condition, illness, or medical treatment
- People who are taking pain medication at a dose higher than the equivalent of 100mg of morphine per day
- People who are currently taking part in other group-based treatment programs at either the UNN Pain Department or the Physical Outpatient Medical Clinic (these would need to be completed before joining this trial)
