Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who attend the outpatient clinic for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (a type of heart muscle thickening) at one of the participating medical centres that are part of the HCM Registry
- People whose heart wall measurement (the wall between the two lower chambers of the heart) meets at least one of these size thresholds: 13 mm or more along with certain warning signs related to cardiomyopathy, OR 15 mm or more that cannot be explained by other factors affecting the heart's workload, OR 17 mm or more regardless of other factors (confirm with trial site)
- People who are willing and able to sign a consent form before taking part in any study-related activities
Who may not be able to join:
- People under 18 years of age
- People who have already been diagnosed with cardiac amyloidosis (a separate condition where abnormal proteins build up in the heart)
