Your heart scan (echocardiogram or MRI) shows that certain walls of your heart are thickened — specifically, the wall between the two lower chambers or the back wall of the heart measures 13mm or more
The tip (apex) of your heart wall measures 15mm or more, OR the tip of the heart is at least 1.3 times thicker than the base of the heart
