Who may not be able to join

Each point below is a reason the trial team may not be able to accept someone. It is not a list of requirements to meet.

  • People who have ever been diagnosed with, or currently have, a brain injury, epilepsy, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, severe substance or alcohol use disorder (tobacco use is an exception), coronary heart disease, or stroke.
  • People who have been diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder, a somatic symptom disorder (a condition where physical symptoms are linked to psychological distress), or an eating disorder within the 12 months before the trial begins.
