Who may be able to join
- People with a good general health and activity level, scored as 0 or 1 on a standard medical performance scale (called the ECOG scale)
- People with breast cancer that can be removed with surgery
- People who, after surgery, have no signs of cancer that has spread to other parts of the body on imaging scans
- People who are being considered for chemotherapy or other cancer treatment before or after surgery
- People who have not previously taken cholesterol-lowering tablets and whose LDL ("bad") cholesterol level is within the normal range (below 3.4 mmol/L)
- People who do not have a fatty liver, as confirmed by an ultrasound or CT scan of the liver

Who may not be able to join

- People who have been diagnosed with high cholesterol (hyperlipidaemia), coronary heart disease, or fatty liver disease, or who are currently taking or have previously taken cholesterol-lowering medication
- People who are currently enrolled in another clinical study, or who stopped taking medications from another study less than 4 weeks ago
- People who have serious problems with how one or more of their vital organs are working
- People who have or have had another type of cancer, unless it was a skin cancer (non-melanoma) that was fully treated, cervical cancer in situ, or another cancer that was fully cured at least 5 years ago
- People who have an active acute or chronic infectious disease
- People who have a history of epilepsy, central nervous system disease, or a mental health condition that has not been well controlled
