Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older and are willing to follow the study requirements
- People who have a medical reason to receive a dual-chamber pacemaker or cardiac resynchronization therapy device, and are scheduled to have an Abbott pacing device implanted
- People who have a documented heart electrical conduction problem called left bundle branch block (LBBB) or intraventricular conduction delay (IVCD) (confirm with trial site if unsure which applies)
- People whose heart's electrical signal (QRS duration) measures 130 milliseconds or longer on a heart tracing (ECG)
- People whose heart's natural electrical pathway between the upper and lower chambers is working, with a PR interval of 250 milliseconds or less on a heart tracing (ECG)
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose resting heart rate is faster than 100 beats per minute
- People who have a second- or third-degree heart block (a significant blockage in the heart's electrical signal between the upper and lower chambers)
- People who have been diagnosed with persistent fast heart rhythms originating in the upper chambers, such as atrial tachycardia or atrial fibrillation
- People who have had a heart attack, a heart ablation procedure, abnormal electrolyte levels, or any other condition in the last 90 days that the trial doctor believes would make changes to pacing device settings unsafe
- People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who have other medical, physical, personal, or psychological conditions that, in the trial doctor's opinion, could affect their ability to participate fully or could affect the reliability of the trial results
- People who do not have legal authority to make their own decisions (confirm with trial site)
- People who are unable to read or write
