- People who are able to understand and recognise spoken words in English
- People who speak North American English fluently
- Adults between the ages of 18 and 65 years old

- People who are unable to recognise spoken words in English
- People who are not fluent speakers of North American English

- People who have language-learning difficulties or other cognitive disabilities
