  • People with hepatitis B who have a low virus level in the blood and have been on hepatitis B antiviral treatment for at least 2 weeks before starting the trial; people with hepatitis C who have completed antiviral treatment at least 1 month before joining
  • People who have cancer that has spread to the brain but is either causing no symptoms, or whose symptoms have been treated and have been stable for at least 4 weeks
  • People whose blood counts, liver and kidney function, blood clotting, and heart function all meet the specific levels required by the trial (confirm with trial site for exact values)
  • People who agree to abstain from sex or use effective contraception throughout the treatment period and for at least 7 months after the last dose of the trial treatment
  • People who have read, understood, and signed the consent form to participate in the trial

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have previously been treated with a type of drug called a CDK4/6 inhibitor
  • People who have received any anti-cancer treatment as part of another clinical trial within the 4 weeks before joining
  • People who have had major surgery within the 4 weeks before joining, or who have not yet fully recovered from such surgery
  • People with serious heart disease or significant heart-related problems
  • People who have both hepatitis B and hepatitis C, or both hepatitis B and hepatitis D, at the same time
  • People who are known to be allergic to perphenazine (the study drug) or any of its ingredients
  • People who have had another type of cancer in the past 5 years, except for certain cancers that have been fully cured (such as some skin cancers, or early-stage prostate or cervical cancers)
  • People who have difficulty taking medicines by mouth, for example due to difficulty swallowing, previous removal of part of the digestive system, ongoing severe diarrhoea, or bowel obstruction
  • People who are pregnant or breastfeeding, people who could become pregnant and have a positive pregnancy test at the start of the trial, or people who could become pregnant but are unwilling to use effective contraception during the trial and for 7 months after the last dose
  • People with serious other illnesses or conditions that could interfere with the treatment, or anyone the trial doctors consider unsuitable for the trial for any other reason
