Who might be able to join this trial:

- People who have provided signed consent to participate
- People who had no age-related hearing loss before starting cancer treatment (applies to groups A and C)
- People with no known age-related hearing loss (applies to group B)

Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently detained or deprived of their liberty
- People who are unable to read or write in French
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who have previously received treatment specifically for hearing damage caused by medication
- People with a history of certain ear conditions affecting both ears, such as abnormal bone growth in the ear, fluid leaks in the inner ear, a ruptured eardrum, immune-related hearing loss, or a type of non-cancerous tumour on the hearing nerve
- People who have had a severe head injury (confirm with trial site for specific scoring details)
- People whose ear examination or ear pressure test shows abnormal results
- People in group B only: those who have previously had chemotherapy, radiotherapy to the head and neck area, or who are currently taking certain medications that may affect hearing, such as quinine, certain water tablets, certain antibiotics, aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs, or steroid medications
