  • People with a history of certain ear conditions affecting both ears, such as abnormal bone growth in the ear, fluid leaks in the inner ear, a ruptured eardrum, immune-related hearing loss, or a type of non-cancerous tumour on the hearing nerve
  • People who have had a severe head injury (confirm with trial site for specific scoring details)
  • People whose ear examination or ear pressure test shows abnormal results
  • People in group B only: those who have previously had chemotherapy, radiotherapy to the head and neck area, or who are currently taking certain medications that may affect hearing, such as quinine, certain water tablets, certain antibiotics, aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs, or steroid medications
