Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have a non-cancerous inner ear tumour (called a vestibular schwannoma) on one side only, and it has been growing over time.
- Your tumour is larger than 2 mm in size.
- You have severe hearing loss in the ear affected by the tumour, confirmed by a hearing test.
- You are able and willing to follow all the requirements of the trial, including taking part in a separate long-term follow-up study after the main trial ends.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with a condition called NF2 (Neurofibromatosis Type 2) or have tumours of this kind on both sides of your head.
- You have previously had surgery or radiation treatment for your inner ear tumour.
- You have a history of a condition that causes your hearing in the affected ear to fluctuate or causes repeated episodes of dizziness (confirm with trial site).
- You have severe hearing loss in your unaffected ear (the ear without the tumour), confirmed by a hearing test.
- You have taken part in a clinical trial involving an experimental drug within the last six months, or you have ever previously taken part in a gene therapy trial.
