Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who are over 18 years of age
  • People who have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) based on recognised international diagnostic guidelines (ACR/EULAR 2010 criteria)
  • People whose rheumatoid arthritis has been in remission (very low disease activity) for at least 6 months, based on a specific scoring measure called DAS28 (a score of 2.6 or below)

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who are unable to understand the study information, or who do not wish to sign the consent form
  • People who are currently pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant within the next 15 months
  • People who have both rheumatoid arthritis and a condition called fibromyalgia at the same time
  • People who have taken any dose of prednisone (a corticosteroid medication) for their rheumatoid arthritis in the 6 months before joining the trial
  • People who are in legal custody, or whose legal decision-making is managed by a guardian or appointed caretaker
