Who may not be able to join:
- People currently experiencing depression (assessed by a phone interview), active thoughts of suicide, unstable medical or psychiatric conditions, or substance use or dependence within the last 90 days
- People who plan to share a sleeping surface with their baby rather than using a bassinet
- People younger than 18 or older than 45 years of age
- People who are pregnant with more than one baby, have Type 1 diabetes, or whose baby has been identified as having a congenital (present-at-birth) physical difference
- People who currently smoke tobacco
- People who have a self-reported, untreated sleep disorder such as narcolepsy, periodic leg movement disorder, or obstructive sleep apnea
- People currently taking psychiatric medications or sleep medications
