Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older
- People who were diagnosed with an irregular heart rhythm condition — either atrial fibrillation (AF), frequent extra heartbeats from the lower heart (PVCs), or a fast abnormal heart rhythm (VT) — before the age of 60
- People who are already scheduled for a catheter-based procedure to treat AF, PVCs, or VT (either for the first time or as a repeat procedure)
- People who are able to give written consent to participate
- People who have either a specific harmful or likely harmful change in a heart-related gene (such as the TTN gene), or have been confirmed through genetic testing to have no such gene change (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who had already been diagnosed with a genetic heart muscle disease or inherited heart rhythm condition before their ablation procedure
- People in the control group who have a gene change classified as being of uncertain significance in a specific higher-risk category (confirm with trial site)
- People who have previously had a catheter-based procedure to treat PVCs or VT
- People whose heart pumping function is severely reduced (left heart pumping strength below 20%)
- People who have an artificial mitral or aortic heart valve
- People who cannot safely receive the blood-thinning medication heparin
- People who have previously had a heart attack
