Who might be able to join this trial:
- People between 18 and 75 years of age (any gender)
- People who have been diagnosed with colorectal cancer that has spread to the liver, where the liver tumours cannot be surgically removed, or where surgery is not tolerated or has been declined
- People whose original bowel cancer cannot be removed or has come back, but without serious complications such as active bleeding or blockage
- People whose first treatment has stopped working, with the cancer having progressed or new liver tumours having appeared
- People with no more than 5 liver tumours, where the largest single tumour measures 3 cm or smaller
- People who have had previous chemotherapy, radiation, or local liver treatments, provided at least 1 month has passed since the last treatment
- People with liver function rated as Child-Pugh A or B, and blood test results within acceptable ranges for bilirubin, creatinine, white blood cell count, and platelets (confirm specific values with trial site)
- People with a general health/activity level rated as ECOG 0, 1, or 2 — meaning able to carry out at least limited self-care (confirm with trial site)
- People who are willing to receive follow-up treatment that includes an anti-PD-1 immunotherapy medicine
Who may not be able to join:
- People with severely reduced liver function, rated as Child-Pugh class C
- People whose expected survival is less than 3 months
- People with serious failure of a major organ (such as the heart, lungs, or kidneys)
- People with a currently active infection
- People with permanent, irreversible problems with blood clotting
- People with large amounts of fluid build-up in the abdomen or chest that has not responded to treatment, or with severe unintentional weight loss and muscle wasting
- People who are unable to cooperate with the treatment process
- People the trial investigators consider unsuitable for any other reason that may affect safe participation in the study
